University employees are encouraged to prioritize their wellbeing by utilizing the resources available to them through programs and offerings from Human Resources and WellWorks.

Departments can take this time of slowed hiring to ensure that faculty and staff are trained in preparation for any future searches.

As indicated in 51ÉçÇø’s Policy and Procedure #41.125, University Human Resources annually issues an official list of holiday observance dates.

The university must notify faculty and staff annually of its drug and alcohol policies and resources available to those seeking assistance for drug or alcohol issues.

The College of Business is offering virtual lunch and learn sessions that will provide information to OHIO employees about graduate degrees and certificates. Employees can use their educational benefits for these programs, and they are all available in convenient delivery formats for working professionals.

More Women’s Center courses are now available as part of the PDP Program.  These courses will count towards badging in future certificates.

University Human Resources reminds all faculty and staff that all furlough days–including mandatory furlough days–should be scheduled and recorded in the appropriate time off system.

The University Human Resources Employee Service Center remains open during normal business hours for appointments, but will be closed to walk-ins.

51ÉçÇø will make a change to its retirement plan vendor options for participants in the ARP, 403(b) and 457(b) plans effective November 1, 2020. The change will reduce the number of vendors available to employees but also result in reduced investment expenses and fees charged to participating faculty and staff.

51ÉçÇø is re-opening the Voluntary Separation or Retirement Program (VSRP) for eligible faculty members.
