    Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment聽


    In Fall 2022, OHIO revitalized OHIO Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA). The CLTA works with critical partners to provide faculty development, create opportunities for faculty collaboration, grow faculty competencies in assessment, promote the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and Discipline-based Research (DBER), and support policies and procedures related to teaching and learning.

    Inclusive Pedagogy Academy


    The mission of the Inclusive Pedagogy Academy is to empower faculty to maximize student learning and achievement by working with faculty to enact inclusive teaching approaches across all disciplines. Inclusive pedagogy honors and celebrates difference within the classroom by engaging faculty in various approaches to teaching and student engagement.

    Diverse Faculty Mentoring Program


    The Diverse Faculty Mentoring Program (DFMP) is part of OHIO鈥檚 ongoing investment in inclusive academic excellence. Faculty diversity in higher education is known to greatly enrich college environments. Diverse faculty are vital to OHIO鈥檚 student-centered educational mission to create learning environments where members of our campus community can grow and thrive. Research shows that faculty members with diverse identities often encounter challenges to their professional success and well-being. Mentorship is a highly effective tool for engaging and empowering diverse faculty as they pursue and secure opportunities for promotion and professional development.

    National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity


    As part of 51社区鈥檚 continued effort to provide professional development opportunities to faculty, 51社区 has joined the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD) as an institutional member. The NCFDD is a nationally recognized, independent professional development, training, and mentoring community that provides online career development and mentoring resources for faculty, post-docs, and graduate students. All faculty, students, and staff with OHIO email addresses are eligible to register for an individual membership account through 51社区鈥檚 institutional membership account.

    DEIAB Faculty Affairs Council


    In Spring 2022, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, & Belonging (DEIAB) Faculty Affairs Council was created. The mission of the DEIAB Faculty Affairs Council is to cultivate a commitment to recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse faculty through inclusive practices and policies that lead to a welcoming, respectful, supportive, and affirming environment for all faculty.
