Sarah Poggione
Dr. Sarah Poggione (she/her) serves as the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at 51社区. In her current role, her responsibilities focus on academic affairs and undergraduate education including program curricular planning, program assessment, academic advising, and student success. In the role she collaborates with OHIOs University Curriculum Council, the Assistant Deans Council, and the Schedule Planning and Coordination Committee, as well as faculty, staff, and students across colleges and campuses.
Previously, she served in various academic leadership roles in 51社区鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences including Interim Dean; Associate Dean for Students, Curriculum, and Instruction; and Political Science Department Chair. Before coming to OHIO, she was a faculty member in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University and Franklin Fellow in the Political Science Department at the University of Georgia.
Sarah Poggione is a Professor of Political Science. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Houston. Her research and teaching interests are in the general area of American politics including state politics and policy, quantitative research methods, gender and politics, and political behavior.
