Canvas: Learning Management System Implementation Project
Project Summary | Canvas has been selected as the next vendor for 51ÉçÇø’s learning management system (LMS) following a comprehensive evaluation process that included input from students, faculty, and staff across each of OHIO’s campuses. Over the next several years, all OHIO courses will transition from Blackboard Learn to Canvas. |

ERP Assessment
Initiative Summary | 51ÉçÇø assessed its current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which support human resources, finance, and student administration, to evaluate the effectiveness of key business processes and systems. The assessment was the first step in a multi-phase plan to select and implement a new digital ecosystem that will modernize university operations and improve the experiences of students, employees, and the community. The goals include developing a long-term ERP strategy, creating a replacement roadmap, and analyzing the resources and costs required. |

Telephone Modernization Project
Project Summary | The Telephone Modernization Project is designed to modernize the University’s telephone infrastructure by transitioning from legacy systems to more scalable, cost-effective, and future-ready solutions. This includes migrating users to Microsoft Teams Phone, updating call center and call recording technologies with modern alternatives, and consolidating data for more accurate asset management. |

AI Community of Interest
Initiative Summary | The AI Community of Interest at OHIO is an open group dedicated to supporting and exploring the evolving role of AI (artificial intelligence) on campus. Led by OIT, we actively support AI initiatives across the university to foster innovation and collaboration. |

Classroom Assistance Ticket System (C.A.T.S.)
Initiative Summary | The Classroom Assistance Ticket System (C.A.T.S) is designed to streamline classroom issue reporting and resolution at OHIO. By providing a centralized point of contact, C.A.T.S simplifies the process for faculty and students to report problems and ensures that issues are addressed efficiently. This collaborative project aims to improve the overall classroom experience for the OHIO community. |

Plagiarism Detection Tool Evaluation Project
Project Summary | A teaching and learning technology evaluation project (Request for Proposal) is launching to review the needs of our academic programs, faculty, and students for plagiarism detection. The University has been leveraging Turnitin as its primary plagiarism detection tool and Blackboard also offered SafeAssign as a solution. |

Cayuse: Electronic Research Administration Software Implementation Project
Project Summary | The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is collaborating with the Division of Research and the Department of Finance to introduce Cayuse, a new electronic research administration software for OHIO. As part of this transition, the existing system, LEO, will be gradually phased out over the next few years. The functions currently handled by LEO will be replaced by the modules integrated within Cayuse. |

Blue: Course Evaluation Tool Implementation
Project Summary | Blue, provided by Explorance, Inc., will replace Class Climate as OHIO’s preferred course evaluation tool. Blue is expected to improve the security and transparency of the course evaluation process, as well as enhance the user experience for both students and faculty. The selection of Blue was completed during the Survey Technologies Evaluation Project. |
