Rights Statement
The student newspaper collection is a mixed-rights collection, including issues classified as No Copyright - United States (also known as Public Domain), Copyright Undetermined, and In Copyright. Older issues tend to be in the Public Domain, and newer issues tend to be in copyright.
Newspaper intellectual property status can be complex due to inclusion of syndicated content for which it can be more difficult to determine the copyright. Issues that include syndicated content but are otherwise in the Public Domain have been classified here as Copyright Undetermined. Syndicated content includes cartoons, newswire stories, and photos. Users should refer to individual issue descriptions for designations.
