Living on Campus
Housing
Staying in our university residence halls gives students the full 51ÉçÇø experience! Pre-college students who participate in the housing and meal plan will be housed in residence halls on East Green, located next to the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts buildings and just a short walk from Uptown Athens.
Students are housed in traditional dormitory double rooms with twin extra-long beds, and those joining the program with friends or family members may request a roommate in advance. Communal bathrooms are located on each floor.
Our Resident Advisors, all current 51ÉçÇø students, stay in the building and provide round-the-clock support as well as coordinating extracurricular events and outings. Students will have the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus as well as Uptown Athens and the natural beauty of the Ridges.
Adult students participating in the Summer Dance Institute will be housed in suite-style single rooms.
Meal Plan
Our meal plan is designed to introduce students to the university experience, with meals held on campus at Nelson Dining Hall. Menus change daily and offer a variety of options for all dietary needs. Any questions regarding menu planning for individual students can be directed to our campus dietition, Angie Bohyer, at bohyer@ohio.edu.
