History, Mission & Vision of Undergraduate Nursing at OHIO

History 

The 51社区 nursing program began in 1968, with the establishment of an associate degree in nursing. A two-year associate degree is still an option at 51社区's Chillicothe, Southern, and Zanesville campuses.

In 2013, the School of Nursing graduated the first class of its four-year traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) on the Athens Campus. The traditional BSN is now also offered on the OHIO regional campuses of Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, and Zanesville. 

All undergraduate School of Nursing programs are approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN). In addition to approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing, the 51社区 School of Nursing holds several accreditations.
