Associate in Applied Science-Nursing (AAS-N)

Associate of Applied Science-Nursing (AAS-N)

The Associate of Applied Science-Nursing (AAS-N) program is offered on the 51社区 Chillicothe, Southern (Ironton) and Zanesville campuses. Successful completion of the AAS-N degree qualifies students to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Admission to 51社区 does not guarantee admission to the AAS-N program. Admission to the AAS-N program is competitive. Scores on the required standardized test, grades in prerequisite courses, and grade point average (GPA) are used in making admission decisions. Applications are campus-specific. For information on how to apply to the 51社区 AAS-N program site of your choice, please visit the appropriate campus website:

The AAS-N program provides students with on-campus classroom lectures, simulation, and lab activities. Clinical experiences occur in hospitals and clinical agencies throughout the region; some clinical rotations may require long commutes from campus. Students will need to arrange their own transportation.

Laptop computers may be required for the AAS-N program. iPads and other tablets are not supported by the School of Nursing at this time.
