Lee Ann Williams (M.Ed., CCRP,  51社区) is a doctoral student in communication studies at the 51社区 Scripps College of Communication. Her research interests include health literacy, mental health, and the implications of restricted speech in healthcare settings. She aims to explore innovative communication strategies and platforms to improve health communication outcomes in clinical research and health education curricula.
Lee Ann obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Marietta College, where she published research on alcohol and unwanted sexual encounters among college students. After completing her degree, she pursued a clinical research career. She contributed to a Medicare demonstration project and worked with the Clinical Trials Network (CTN) for the National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA). She earned her master鈥檚 degree in educational leadership at OHIO in 2018. As a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), she currently works at the 51社区 Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine鈥檚 Clinical & Translational Research Unit (CTRU) as the Director of the CTRU and Clinical Partnerships.  In her free time, Lee Ann enjoys DIY projects with her husband, attending country music concerts, traveling, reading true crime, and spending time with her daughter and son in their scouting, golf, theatre, and band activities.
