James (Jamie) Kelly, M.A.
James (Jamie) Kelly (M.A., School of the Art Institute of Chicago; B.A., Wesleyan University) examines the social determinants of health and community-based health interventions. He focuses particularly on the impact of texts, dialogic exchange, and locally produced media as a vehicle for awareness and behavioral change. His studies primarily utilize ethnographic fieldwork and participatory decision making. Before matriculating, he spent a decade in nonprofit arts management and studying socially engaged art.
