Syntero
For Dublin students, the Heritage College has an extended partnership for behavioral health services via . Students can meet virtually or with an on-campus Syntero clinician to proactively manage stress reactions and develop coping strategies. For free (up to 10 sessions) and with confidentiality, students are able to access 1:1 support for both early intervention and counseling services. Treatment services will include a Diagnostic Assessment with further treatment recommendations. Appointments can be made by calling the Syntero Intake Department at 614.889.5722 extension 133 or through utilization of online referral/scheduling links. For priority scheduling at Syntero, it is advised to identify as a Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine student when making an appointment.

In addition to the embedded counselor on the Dublin campus, Syntero's Dublin office site is also within 4.5 miles of the campus. Syntero offers a number of counseling services, including individual and family, child and adolescent, geriatric, trauma and substance abuse. Syntero also accepts United Health Care insurance plans. Beyond individual and group counseling, Syntero is able to provide services for educational sessions on depression, anxiety, and grief counseling.
Dublin students have access to 24/7 service through Syntero through their phone line as well as staffing for emergency cases at the Dublin Methodist Hospital within a mile from the Heritage College, Dublin campus.

You may connect with mental health services from Syntero by scheduling an appointment with the embedded psychologist, Sarah Stafford, M.A, LPCC-S. Sign-up links are above. Appointments can be made by calling Syntero at 614.889.5722, Ext. 133. Make sure you identify yourself as a Heritage College student and ask about the Heritage College embedded counselor's availability. Please see location and times below.

The Heritage College, Dublin, has a memorandum of understanding with local counseling center and primary care provider, Syntero. Dublin students are given priority scheduling when they contact the intake hotline: 614.889.5722. A representative from Syntero presents at OMS I orientation, and that presentation is also housed in Blackboard under the orientation module. Students can visit the Syntero website as well:

Medical Student Assistance Program
The Medical Student Assistance Program (MSAP) is a committee of Heritage College staff and faculty dedicated to identifying, addressing, and supporting students who experience impairment due to psychiatric illness, alcoholism, and/or substance abuse. The committee is guided by  humanitarian concerns and strives to support students and help them return to pre-impairment. MSAP promotes  recovery ²¹²Ô»å  wellness  rather than judgment and blame.
CARE Team

51ÉçÇø seeks to provide a safe and secure environment within which students can successfully pursue their academic and personal goals. Occasionally, students exhibit behavior or communicate in a fashion that raises concern - for the student's welfare or for the welfare of others in the community. In order to best respond to such occurrences, the Office of the Dean of Students maintains and coordinates the activities of the CARE Team. The purpose of the CARE Team is to ensure a timely and coordinated university response to students whose behavior is disruptive to others around the student by way of raising alarm, fear or other concern, or reflects a credible potential for harm to self or others.

The Survivor Advocacy Program's (SAP) mission is to provide confidential support and advocacy services to student survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. SAP works to increase student survivors' access to support and resources through trauma informed advocacy and empowerment.
University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance

The Office of University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance (ECRC) ensures that the University maintains an employment and educational environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. ECRC monitors the educational environment and workplace to stop, remediate, and prevent discrimination on the basis of protected status. We make policy recommendations, offer training, and provide avenues for the resolution of grievances which are based on protected status. This includes discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, ethnicity, national origin, national ancestry, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, military service or veteran status, mental or physical disability, or genetic information.

The Organizational Ombudsperson serves in a unique role within the University, by assisting members of the University community with issues internal to 51ÉçÇø and in providing a proactive voice regarding issues that are arising throughout its various campuses. The Office of the Ombudsperson is a confidential service open to all students, employees, alumni, parents and community members at 51ÉçÇø. The overarching mission of the Office of the Ombudsperson is twofold: to ensure that every member of the university community receives equitable and fair treatment and due process, and to support and facilitate a positive working and learning environment.

The Heritage College Office of Inclusion develops and implements strategies, programs and activities on all three of our campuses that promote diversity through educational learning experiences and cultural competency training for students, faculty and staff. The Office of Inclusion provides an online Discrimination and Bias Reporting Tool, which is available to report bias or hate motivated incidents you may witness or experience in our academic community. Financial Emergencies
