D.O. M.B.A. Program

Practice of medicine and management

In recognition of the critical need for leaders educated in the intellectual disciplines and practices of medicine and management, the 51社区 Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and the College of Business at 51社区 have established the D.O./M.B.A. program, which enrolled its first students in the summer of 2015. The program's mission is to develop outstanding physician leaders, skilled in both medicine and management, to take positions of influence through which they will contribute substantially to the health and well-being of individuals and society.

The D.O./M.B.A. program is designed for medical students interested in integrating the study of medicine with training in managerial, financial, and technical expertise, that they can then apply to the health care field. Students in the D.O./M.B.A. have full access to the resources of both programs, which uniquely prepares them as experienced leaders in the modern marketplace.

D.O./M.B.A. s can take a broad range of career paths, including as academic physicians, owners of a clinical practice, hospital administrators, consultants in the business world, and health care policy researchers, as well as work in related fields such as the biotechnology industry.
