Carla Williams
Music and Special Projects Librarian
Carla Williams is the music subject specialist for the 51ÉçÇø Libraries, where she serves as the liaison between the Libraries and the School of Music. She selects and manages music materials and resources, directs the daily operations of the Music and Dance Library, and provides music research and reference services and library instruction.
Williams earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music History and Literature and a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance Practice at the University of Idaho in Moscow. She continued her musical education at Indiana University, where she studied harpsichord and fortepiano with Elisabeth Wright, earning a doctoral degree in Early Keyboard Performance. Dr. Williams’ library degree, with a specialization in music librarianship, was completed at the Indiana University School of Library and Information Science.
