Andrew Holbrook
Assistant Professor of Instruction in Music Therapy
Andrew Holbrook, MA, MT-BC is a board-certified music therapist who has been clinically active since 2014. He received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in music therapy and a Master鈥檚 degree in music therapy from the University of Iowa. During his time at the University of Iowa, Andrew supervised and taught undergraduate music therapy students in their clinical work. Andrew also taught and supervised undergraduate students as a music therapy instructor and clinical supervisor at Western Illinois University.
Andrew worked at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for several years focusing on acute mental health, geriatric behavioral health, and substance abuse. Prior to coming to WIU, Andrew also provided music therapy services at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in their Palliative Care and Hospice program, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, oncology units, and outpatient eating disorder support groups.
