Teacher Education Master's Programs
The Department of Teacher Education offers three types of master's degrees: master's with licensure, master's without licensure, and advanced master's (for current teachers).
Master's with Licensure
Master's programs with licensure are designed for candidates seeking a teaching licensure through a graduate degree program. Currently, the Department of Teacher Education offers the following programs that lead to a teaching license.
- Middle Childhood: for grades 4-9 in two content areas (language arts, math, science, and/or social studies)
- Adolescent-to-Young Adult and Multi-Age:
- Grades 7-12 in one content area (language arts, math, science, or social studies)
- Art in grades K-12
- Theater in grades preK-12
- Intervention Specialists (Special Education): with programs focusing on K-12 and early childhood (ages 3-8)
Advanced Master's
Advanced master's programs are designed for licensed teachers who are interested in developing further as professionals. Currently, the Department of Teacher Education offers two fully online programs at the Advanced Master's Level:
