Workshops and Presentations

Pride Panels

Our Pride Panels educate groups on and off campus through story-sharing panels. Panels provide the opportunity for audiences to engage sexual and gender diversities via personal experiences of volunteer panelists, questions and discussion. Pride panels can include a combination of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the wider community.

We create an accepting atmosphere where people can feel safe to ask any question. Volunteer panelists do not claim to represent the entirety of queerness and only represent themselves speaking from their own experiences. We encourage ALL questions to be asked while also respecting the right of a panelist to decline to answer and/or explain why a question might be inappropriate.

Gender and Sexuality Workshops

These customizable workshops, educate about the diversities of gender identity, gender expression, pronouns, and sexuality as they relate to both personal and professional contexts. The presentations explore different ways to create a welcoming and understanding environment for people of various genders, identities, sexualities, and levels of being out.  By learning about inclusive terminology and exploring some of the health disparities faced by LGBTQ+ communities, we will practice using inclusive language, examine strategies for dialogue, and open pathways of communication about the experiences of LGBTQ+ people.
