Experimental Study of Language Certificate
The College of Health Sciences and Professions and the College of Arts and Sciences jointly sponsor the Experimental Study of Language Certificate program.
The certificate program is an interdisciplinary complement to any undergraduate baccalaureate program.
The scientific study of language is spread across multiple disciplines and has been growing rapidly. This program is designed for students who have a deep interest in language and wish to gain some experience in language research.
The certificate requires students to take coursework from outside their academic majors and offers research opportunities in the form of individual, guided research experiences in faculty research labs. The certificate also includes core coursework that provides content in the areas of linguistics, psycholinguistics, statistics, and research methods.
