Faculty Fellows and Contributors
51ÉçÇø faculty contribute expertise to programming on a voluntary basis, as well as with the support of stipends and workload equivalencies. These pedagogical experts and teaching and learning scholars serve as:
- Workshop series facilitators
- Academy facilitators
- Faculty learning community facilitators
- Teaching, learning and assessment mentors
The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA) faculty fellows serve in a leadership role to mentor/support other faculty, create University-wide workshop series or development programs or develop resources on teaching and learning based on their areas of pedagogical expertise (e.g., article, white paper, learning module, etc.). The CTLA calls for faculty fellows applications annually and as project leadership opportunities arise.
Advancing Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellows 2024-2025
The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Advancing Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellows collaborate with staff on specific projects designed to promote the conceptualization of teaching excellence at 51ÉçÇø. Fellows are selected based on demonstrated expertise in the project area, as well as prior contributions and/or commitment to faculty development and scholarly teaching. They function in a leadership capacity for specific CTLA programs for which they are appointed.
INVITE Faculty Fellows 2023-2024
The inaugural INVITE faculty cohort — seven instructional faculty hired to improve equity in learning outcomes achievement in critical courses — spend their first year immersed in professional development through a variety of CTLA and external partner experience and then serve as a resource for their department during the subsequent year(s) of their fellowship.
Programs and resources created by faculty fellows, partners and contributors for the CTLA are considered institutional works.
