Biography
Dr. Edna Lima is an Associate Professor of Instruction and Director of Instructional Design & Global Outreach Online Programs in the Linguistics Department at 51ÉçÇø. She is also the Director of the Technology-Enhanced Language Teaching (TELT) Certificate Program. She is currently teaching TELT I, TELT II, TELT Teaching Practicum, Second Language Acquisition Research and Theory, Assessing Language Abilities, Research Experience in Linguistics, and Writing for Research and Publication. Edna has 28 years of experience teaching EFL, ESL, ESP, EAP, and applied linguistics classes. She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics & Technology from Iowa State University. Her research interests include technology-enhanced language teaching and learning, online courses and materials design, curriculum development, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), language assessment, and writing for research. She also has experience coordinating undergraduate and graduate writing labs and a TESOL Graduate Program.
