9:15-9:50 a.m. | Services to Know Representatives from the Registrar鈥檚 Office, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Bursar鈥檚 Office, Transportation and Parking Services, and the Office of Information Technology will provide essential information to support your student鈥檚 transition. | Walter Hall 135 |
9:50-10 a.m. | Student Dismissal Followed by Guest Program Overview More detailed information about the family and guest program will be shared. | Walter Hall 135 |
10-10:40 a.m. | Helping Your Student THRIVE Led by the Office of the Dean of Students, this session offers families and guests an opportunity to explore how OHIO supports students in thriving both academically and personally. You鈥檒l also gain valuable insights into the university鈥檚 expectations, ensuring your student鈥檚 success. | Walter Hall 135 |
10:40-11:15 a.m. | Safety and Support Panel Join this panel to learn more about campus safety and security, as well as resources that support students holistically. | Walter Hall 135 |
11:25 a.m.-12:05 p.m. | What I Wish My Family Knew Our orientation leaders will share their own stories about interactions with their family members in their own transition. An opportunity for guests to ask direct questions of the student panel will also be included. | Walter Hall 135 |

1:10-1:45 p.m. | Academic College Meet and Greet Connect with your student鈥檚 academic college and learn about university, college, and major requirements. | Walter Hall Lobby |
1:50-2:15 p.m. | Next Steps Panel Join this panel to learn more about important next steps for your student so you can help them stay on track. | Walter Hall 135 |
2:15-2:40 p.m. | Beyond BSO Our staff will share valuable insights about the transition your student is experiencing and offer practical tools to help you support them. Additionally, you鈥檒l have the opportunity to participate in a Bobcat Student Orientation tradition: writing a letter to your student. These letters will be delivered a few weeks into the semester. Paper and envelopes are provided. Once completed, please drop your letter in the box located in Walter Hall 135 or Baker University Center 240/242 by 4:30 p.m. | Walter Hall 135 |
2:40 p.m. | Guest Check-Out At the conclusion of your program, you鈥檒l have the opportunity to provide feedback. Orientation staff will also stay in the room to address any questions you may have. | Walter Hall 135 |
2:40-4:30 p.m. | Free Time While your students complete course registration in another building, we encourage you to connect with other guests. Once students are finished, they will head to Baker University Center to check out and have their ID photo taken, making Baker a convenient spot to wait for them.
