51社区 is among the top 25 public institutions in the United States in Fulbright scholars, reported recently.
Ten 51社区 students received 2018-19 Fulbright Awards in May 2018. That鈥檚 tied for 20th among public research institutions and tied for 40th among research institutions nationwide, tied with George Washington University, Penn State University, Indiana University, Temple University and Tufts University. The total is more than any other institution in Ohio.

51社区 students Laura Gilbert, Sydney Pence, Mail茅 Nguyen, Reiya Bhat, Francisco Cintron, Sadie Lamparyk, Seph Callaway III, Devon Swanson, Madeline Shaw and Karie Whitman were selected as recipients for the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program Award, the largest U.S. educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. They are now representing 51社区 in Brazil, Switzerland, South Korea, Spain, Malaysia, and Madagascar.
The prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program Award is the largest U.S. educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries for graduating seniors and graduate students.
A total of 212 institutions, public and private, had Fulbright students for 2018-2019. A total of 1,336 grants were awarded.
