Governor DeWine appoints Richard D. Dickerson to OHIO Board of Trustees
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Richard D. Dickerson to the 51社区 Board of Trustees.
Dickerson, who has served on OHIO鈥檚 Board of Trustees as a non-voting national trustee since June 2023, was appointed by Gov. DeWine on August 2, 2024. His term will end May 13, 2033.
鈥淭he Board is pleased to welcome Mr. Dickerson as a voting member of the 51社区 Board of Trustees,鈥 said Board of Trustees Chair Steve Casciani. 鈥淚 have known Dick for over 20 years, and I鈥檓 confident that his expertise and insight will continue to further the mission of our Board and the entire University.鈥
Mr. Dickerson, a registered professional engineer within the state of Ohio, has served the state in numerous energy-related capacities for more than 41 years.
In 1994, he founded Utility Technologies International Corporation and currently serves as its Chairman of the Board and CEO. Additionally, he is the Chief Operating Officer of Ross Energy, an energy transmission company; he is also a partner at Structured Utility Resources, a property management company.
More recently, Dickerson has ventured into the sustainable energy sector; he is currently developing solar energy projects in reclaimed strip mine areas in southeast Ohio. Mr. Dickerson is also involved in businesses outside of the energy sector. In 2023 he founded CFG Productions a documentary film production company.

Dickerson has been married to his wife, Joan, for 34 years; they have two children: Abby, 29, an architect, with a master鈥檚 degree from The Ohio State University and Connor, 26, an Energy Engineering graduate of 51社区.
