Registration for OHIO’s Cybersecurity Awareness Conference now open with sessions set for Oct. 30, 31
All OHIO students, faculty and staff are invited to join 51ÉçÇø’s Information Security Office for the 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Conference.
In October of 2022, the Information Security Office held a Data Security Day Conference. This event brought nearly 80 faculty, staff, and students together to learn about information security topics.
Due to the success of this event, the Information Security Office this year is hosting an expanded conference offering that spans two days. Attendees at this year’s conference will participate in a variety of seminar-style sessions throughout each day.
The conference will feature topics varying from cybersecurity and international travel, a tabletop exercise that walks attendees through what to do in the event of an incident, how to combat phishing, and more. The full schedule is available on the Cybersecurity Awareness Conference website.
This free, two-day conference will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda. Light refreshments will be served.
The Cybersecurity Awareness Conference is held in tandem with Cybersecurity Awareness Month. For 20 years, the President of the United States and Congress have proclaimed October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The OHIO Information Security Office uses Cybersecurity Awareness Month to help students, faculty, and staff protect themselves online as threats to their personal information and University data grow each year.
Space at the 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Conference is limited, so register online by Friday, Oct. 13, to reserve your spot.
