Wendy Adams joins Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
51社区's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA) has named Wendy Adams as its new associate director for assessment. Adams comes to the CTLA from the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education where she served as director of assessment and academic improvement since 2015.
鈥淲endy鈥檚 experience in building assessment systems to support college accreditation, her knowledge of and contributions to 51社区 assessment efforts, and her work on statewide assessment initiatives will be essential to the success of the reimagined CTLA,鈥 said Executive Director Melinda Rhodes-DiSalvo.
Adams brings over a decade of experience in the field to the center, helping to realize its goal to serve as OHIO's hub for resources, processes and effective practices in assurance of learning through assessment and continuous improvement. Adams will promote faculty competencies in assessment through collaborations with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics, the University Curriculum Council, the Academic Achievement Center and other CTLA partners.
Adams is able to work with faculty or teams of faculty to support student success through assessment of student learning from the assignment to the course and program levels.
鈥淚 am excited for this opportunity as it will allow me to share the knowledge and skills I have developed over the years with OHIO programs and centers,鈥 Adams said. For more information, please see the CTLA website.
