OHIO announces employee parking permit renewal information

Effective September 2021, faculty and staff parking permit fees will be reinstated for those needing annual parking access on the 51社区 Athens Campus. 

The FY22 parking permit renewal period will run from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16 through 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3. Annual parking permits are available to full- and part-time benefits eligible employees via a pre-tax payroll deduction. 

51社区 Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) recognizes that campus access requires flexibility. Several permit options are available to meet campus parking needs including annual, monthly, daily and hourly accommodations. OHIO employees are encouraged to visit the TPS website to ensure they have the resources needed to make parking decisions that best support their specific campus access needs. 

To renew the annual faculty and staff (dark green and purple lots) or priority lot access permits, during the specified permit renewal/opt-out period stated above. Annual permits will be pro-rated for FY22. 

Priority permits renewals are only available to FY20 priority parking permit holders. Employees interested in priority parking may elect to add their names to a priority waitlist via the .

For Baker or Jefferson Garage reserved parking spaces, permit holders will receive a separate communication from TPS related to renewal procedures. Employees interested in requesting a reserved parking permit for garage facilities should submit a waitlist request via the .

Individuals who elect not to renew their annual faculty and staff or priority parking lot permit must opt out of the annual parking fee during the opt out period. to opt out of annual parking. Individuals who opt out will remain opted out and must contact TPS if they wish to opt back in to annual campus parking deductions later. Opt-in requests are only accepted during the annual renewal period. 

Individuals who have opted out of the annual parking fee may secure daily, monthly or hourly parking accommodations should they require campus parking access. Daily and monthly permits are not eligible for payroll deduction and must be paid in full at time of permit request.
