This announcement was sent to affected 51社区 students on Aug. 4, 2020

51社区 has announced a phased re-opening plan for the Athens Campus. Following this announcement, please find below further guidance pertaining to student parking for the Athens Campus.

Records indicate that you recently purchased a commuter or residential campus parking permit for the upcoming fall semester. Transportation & Parking Services will be refunding the full value of all student permits purchased for the upcoming fall 2020 semester. Please find additional refund details below.

Students approved to return as a part of phase 1 re-entry to campus will receive an e-mail from tps@ohio.edu prior to the start of fall semester. This communication will outline available transit resources and provide details on permit options should campus parking access be needed. An update on phase 2 parking accommodations will be provided at a later time.

Student Permit Refund Guidance:

TPS recognizes that you purchased your campus permit using a credit card. However, to remain consistent with university refund practices the parking permit credit will be applied to your student account. Your credit will pay any outstanding balance due. Any remaining credit will be refunded to you by the Office of the Bursar.

To assist with prompt refunds where applicable, students鈥 home address and/or direct deposit information must be current. Students can update their address or direct deposit information by accessing My OHIO Student Center. Addresses are displayed in the Personal Information section. To enroll in or update direct deposit, navigate to the Finances section and select 鈥淓nroll in Direct Deposit鈥 from the dropdown menu. Complete your direct deposit enrollment by 8 am August 20 if you are due a refund and you wish to receive it by direct deposit.

Permit refunds will start to be applied by the Office of the Bursar beginning Friday, August 21, 2020.
