OHIO launches new Be Safe Bobcats site to keep University community informed
51社区 has launched a new website today, Be Safe Bobcats, to inform the University community about how it is preparing for a safe return to operations for the 2020-2021 school year.
Be Safe Bobcats, an update of the university鈥檚 Coronavirus Response website, also features resources and information for students, faculty, and staff about how they can keep themselves and their communities safe, whether they are returning to campus or continuing to work or study from home.
The site was revamped in response to continuing feedback from the University community. It has been reorganized to make it easier to find critical information and resources. New features include:
- Safety Protocols and PPE information: OHIO is implementing temperature checks/symptom monitoring, a mask policy, cleaning protocols, and more to ensure Bobcats are as safe as possible.
- The OHIO Pledge: The University is asking every member of the University community to sign a pledge that they will do their part to stop the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
- Testing, Tracing, and Quarantining information: The University has outlined procedures to be followed if/when individuals experience symptoms or need testing for COVID-19.
- COVID-19 Building Signage Resources: A new website provides information about new signage the University is installing to keep the campus community safe as they use buildings and common spaces. Entities also can order custom signage.
The site features information for the Athens and all regional campuses, as well as special sections for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus. These sections include information on topics such as:
- Teaching arrangements and modified classrooms
- Return to work guidelines
- Reduced residential density and campus dining
- Student organizations
- Transit
- Recreation
- Library space
- International student support
- Study abroad/away
- Campus tours
- Mental health resources
In addition, Be Safe Bobcats will continue to feature news alerts, resources for remote teaching, and information on the University鈥檚 fall 2020 planning process.
