OHIO Chillicothe donates emergency equipment to local EMA
In response to the demands needed to help combat COVID-19, 51社区 Chillicothe made a large donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Ross County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) on Monday, March 23.
Paul Minney, Ross County EMA Director, is appreciative of the donation.
鈥淭he Ross County Emergency Management Agency has had a great working partnership with 51社区 Chillicothe over the years. When the University was notified as to the need for personal protective equipment for our local responders, as always, I knew that I could count on the University to come through,鈥 remarked Minney. 鈥淲e have been working diligently with local companies to assist during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to get supplies.鈥
Interim Dean Dywayne Nicely commented that the contribution was donated from the nursing and environmental engineering programs as well as the Facilities Department.
鈥淥HIO Chillicothe is pleased to provide the necessary supplies and equipment to the Ross County EMA. As a community that鈥檚 bonded together, it鈥檚 the least we could do to aid combating the coronavirus and help during this global pandemic,鈥 Nicely stated.
OHIO Chillicothe鈥檚 donation consisted of 28 boxes of sterile gloves, nearly 100 Tyvek Suits, and 3 canvas bags of respirators with HEPA cartridges.
