Deadline for faculty, staff to complete ‘Bridges’ sexual misconduct module is Nov. 17

Providing access to “Bridges: Building a Supportive Community” is an important step in the University’s efforts to prevent campus sexual harassment and sexual violence and is intended to equip faculty and staff with the knowledge to help build a culture of respect that does not tolerate sexual misconduct.

OHIO President M. Duane Nellis has set a goal of 100 percent completion of the online “Bridges” module by all faculty and staff, encouraging OHIO employees to work together in the effort to prevent sexual misconduct, which was emailed to OHIO faculty and staff on Oct. 13, 2017.

As of Nov. 13, 2017, more than 3,000 Bobcats, or 52 percent of faculty and staff to whom the “Bridges: Building a Supportive Community” online sexual misconduct education module was delivered, have completed the program. We are just half way to the goal of 100 percent completion, so there is much to be done if we are to reach that goal by the Nov. 17, 2017 completion deadline.

The module takes approximately one hour to complete. The feedback from the 3,000 plus Bobcats who have completed the module has been overwhelmingly positive in terms of their learning experience. If you have not completed the program, please join your fellow Bobcats who have led the way in this important initiative by already completing the program, and complete the online module now.

Auto-reminders with an embedded link have been sent every week since Oct. 13 for easy access to the online module. If you haven’t completed the module, you would have received the last reminder on Thursday, Nov. 9. If you have not yet completed the “Bridges” online module, please do so by Friday, Nov. 17.
