Musculoskeletal and Neuroimaging Research Laboratory

The musculoskeletal and neuroimaging research laboratory has two cores. One, a Medical Imaging Core that is managed via the Clinical and Translational Research Unit at 51社区 with instrumentation and technical capabilities including an Esaote G-Scan Brio Musculoskeletal Weight-Bearing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and a Hologic Discovery W Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA). Two, a Neuroimaging Research Core via an ongoing partnership with Holzer health systems for research access to a 3T Philips Achieva MRI for functional and structural neuroimaging studies.

Neuroimaging data processing and analysis is available on several high-powered computers with advanced neuroimaging analysis packages including but not limited to: Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) software, FMRIB Software Library (FSL) and functional connectivity toolbox (CONN) available. Resources include access to a high throughput University network for online data processing, storage, and encrypted HIPPA compliant security control, over 10 TB of network storage, and high-powered Apple and Linux based workstations.
