Dr. Nicholas R. Stroup (or Nick) holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (specialization in Higher Education and Student Affairs) from the University of Iowa, an MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a BA in Comparative Literature and Classics from the University of Virginia. Dr. Stroup has served in student affairs administrative roles at several higher education institutions, primarily supporting students in transition and graduate academic programs. Dr. Stroup鈥檚 research centers on equity and inclusion in graduate and professional education, international higher education in the Western Balkans, and contemporary theories of socialization. He uses causal inference techniques in his quantitative research and critical discourse analysis in his qualitative research.
